How to change your search engine

Your first step would be to find out firstly what type of browser you are using. There are five main browsers that are widely used these days, they are Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari or Opera. Once you have ascertained what your browser of choice is than you are ready to move to the next step.All you need to do then is choose your browser of choice from the selection above and  then follow the easy to understand picture guided steps, that will allow you to make your browser your choice. One thing to remember though, you will need to remember to add your  www.google.com.au to the text box browsers window which will look something like this, as seen below.

Make Google Australia your search engine on Google Chrome.

Step 1:  Start by opening your Chrome browser and click on the 3 bars in the top right hand corner of the site.

Step 2: You will see a settings button. Click on that button to open the settings tab.

Step 3: Click on the manage search engines tab.

Step 4: Once you are in the “manage search engines” box you will need to hover your mouse button on the Google.com or Google.au tab, click make default and then click done to close the manage search engines box.

Make Google Australia your search engine on Internet Explorer.

Start by opening your browser.

Click on the gear icon in the top right hand corner of the screen.

Click on the Internet Options button which will open another tab.

Making sure that you are in the General tab, you need to type your default search engine in which in this case would be Google Australia or Google.au. Once you’ve done that you can click the Apply button and click OK.

Click on the options tab.

Once clicked on the options tab, a box will open and in that box make sure that the general tab is clicked and open. If you are in the right area, you will see the “Homepage” sign with an omnibox next to it. You can simply enter your search engine of choice and click ok.

Click on the little star/gear icon in the corner of the browser screen.

A drop down will appear, click on preferences and a box will open.

Make sure that you are in the “General” tab, browse down to the “Homepage” section where you can enter your homepage of choice.

Make Google Australia your search engine on Opera Mini

This is by far the most simple operation to change your homepage. All you need to do is open the browser and click “Add a Site”

Once you’ve done that a new tab will open with an omnibox. Simple type in the web address you want to add and click “Add It”
