Notepad is an iPad application that allows users to create and manage text files. This app is similar to the Notes app that comes pre-installed on iPad, but with some additional features such as support for different file formats and the ability to password-protect files.
Notepad is available for free from the App Store. To open a new folder in Notepad, tap the “+” button in the top-left corner of the screen and then select “New Folder.”
Enter a name for the folder and tap “OK.” The new folder will appear in the list of folders on the left side of the screen.
Tap the new folder to open it and then tap the “+” button to create a new text file.
Notepad also supports the creation of rich text files, which can include images and other media. To create a new rich text file, tap the “+” button and select “New Rich Text File.”
Notepad will open a blank document in the editing view. Tap the “Aa” button in the top-right corner of the screen to access the formatting options for the document.
You can also move existing files into different folders by tapping the “Edit” button, selecting the files you want to move, and then tapping the “Move” button. A list of folders will appear on the right side of the screen. Tap the folder you want to move the files into and then tap “OK.”
The selected files will be moved into the specified folder.
Notepad also allows you to share files with other apps on your iPad. To share a file, tap the “Edit” button, select the file you want to share, and then tap the “Share” button. A list of compatible apps will be displayed. Tap the app you want to use to share the file and then follow the instructions on the screen. For example, if you tap the “Mail” option, a new email message will be created with the selected file attached.
