To make Google your homepage on Chrome, first open the browser and click on the three vertical dots in the upper right-hand corner of the window. This will open up a dropdown menu with several options from which you can select “Settings”. Once in settings, scroll down until you reach the “Appearance” button, click the button.
Click on the “Show Home” button to open the omnibox to type your search engine in.
Enter custom web address and type “www.google.com” and click OK.
Close and reopen Google Chrome to see the new homepage.
Alternatively, some versions of Chrome also allow users to set their homepages directly from their search bar by typing in an address or query and clicking on a small house icon located beside it. This feature also allows users to quickly switch between multiple homepages depending on their needs without having to go through multiple steps within settings each time they want to change it up.
